I want my Tang Soo Do uniform to look appealing to the eye. What are some tips and tricks to making a gi stand out or look different from other gis? How should I use contrast and repetition? What are some good examples (in image form)? Any help would be appreciated .|||Only the korean systems would ever post a question like this. First, you need to realize that to become a great martial artist you must let go of ego, forgo pride and become humble. I suggest that you do not put any patches on the uniform instead enjoy the solitude of the solid white.|||If your concerned about how good you look in your gi, your in it for the wrong reason. If you want to make your gi stand out--keep it clean and pressed. Put your badges on your gear bag or coat as stated a before.|||sorry but you should just keep it the standard way most people put theres on, because you could end up offending other students and even possibly instructors. They are the way they are for a reason, you are no more important and special then other students|||Check with your instructor. Some styles have a particular way they want patches worn.
Myself - I don%26#039;t wear any patches, even those for my school and my Master is OK with that. I%26#039;m just really old fashioned that way. |||most patches I have seen are generally put right below the shoulder on the arm of the uniform though I myself don%26#039;t have any and am with the others on not wearing them |||lol at the first answer and very good point.
it should be the same as everyone else its a uniform which means everyones should be the same.||| Ask Sabum nim or Kyosa nim first. If you have a coat, put the patches on it,not on your GI.
