Best way to take care of my new karate uniform?

I just got a new one from my school (we all have to wear the same one) and I want to make sure it doesn%26#039;t get wrinkled or anything. Last time, it did. =/

So how do I hang it up without wrinkling it?|||well if you have a lightweight take it out of the dryer right after its done and iron it and then get a hanger, but the jacket on in and fold the pants and put them on the inside if that makes any sense...and then just hang it. it should hold.

if you have a heavyweight when you take it out of the washer, shake it really hard a couple times and do the same when you get it out of the dryer. dont know how but that works and you get a cool crease on the side of your pants that looks like you pressed them.

to keep it from getting wrinkled if you dont wash it everytime fold it without wrinkles. but if its a light weight its gona be really hard to keep it from wrinkling.|||Well, it%26#039;s almost impossible for your Karate-gi doesn%26#039;t get wrinkled because of the nature of the activity. I%26#039;ve been practicing Karate for about 22 years and I%26#039;ve learned this fact. However, you could minimise it%26#039;s wrinkling by washing it by hand and ironing it after it dries. If you can%26#039;t wash it by hand, try to use the iron to smooth it up. After ironing it you could use a hanger to avoid it%26#039;s wrinkling.

Finally, you shouldn%26#039;t be too worried about wrinkling it during your trainning. Go ahead, let it wrinkle, get dirty, tear up, etc. You have to concentrate on learning, not on your uniform. I know that it%26#039;s hard, but try your best not to worry too much about it.

Karate professor 3 Dan Goju Ryu|||OK , I understand some people do not wash own underwear or T-shirt or even sucks . Wash as often as you use . You use uniform everyday , wash everyday . No other alternative . After wash uniform use softener , put to dryer after wash and hang on hanger to next use , means next day . This is bad habit do not wash uniform everyday . |||for one i do not hang my uniform... i fold my uniform like it is suppose to be done. after each and every class then i take it home wash it after drying it i fold it and then tie my belt around it ready for the next class. if you want to know how this is done please contact me and i will send you a file on how to properly fold your gi and how it is done |||What I do is hang it up with a hanger in the sleeves of the jacket or shirt and put a hanger in the pants. If they do get wrinkly which they will you can just iron it. Good luck|||Its impossible to prevent that from happening. But if you take it to a clothes repair store they can get rid of the wrinkles somehow...

I don%26#039;t know what they do but they can.|||lightweight jackets tend to not wrinkle after you break them in, so dont worry,

when you have a heavy weight, dont wash it at home. get it dry cleaned every month. washers and driers wrinkle|||maybe when you put it away, put it neatly (don%26#039;t make it all folded ontop of itself). That%26#039;s what i do to mine, it get%26#039;s a bit wrinkled. Just a bit ^_^
