Can anyone translate these karate terms or are there any good websites for this?

I%26#039;ve found a site with just japanese words on but i want one so i can understand what each move is in english so i can see whats needed for grading. I also want to know what Yoi, Kamete and Ippon kumite mean for the Sankukai style of karate, such as on www.sankukaikarate.co.uk/

Have tried a japanese dictionary but these words arent in!|||Yoi= Be Ready, it is a command

Ippon kumite = one step sparring exercise, it is a drill

kamete= ?? I never heard this one before.

Try asking your sensei for a list of terms. We tend to right them down after class. It is not unusual to see a bunch of us writing what we learned in our journals after class.|||http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate|||Im not sure of the first two but ippon kumite is one step sparring

One person will step through with a punch or kick the other will defend and counter|||Dude,

Yoi means to get ready, its a posture that resembles attention posture( but hands kept over the genetial position, overlapping). kamate is the next position that resembles the stand-at-ease position, it means your ready to face anything.

ippon kumite means one step sparring, i think you know abt it.|||no sorry
