when you go for karate lessons and you are a girl will you be practicing with a boy. Because if it is, it%26#039;s pretty uncomfortable.|||In Karate there are a couple of things to know,


one is you learn the moves/ forms in groups individually.


You will be standing in lines, and going throw the motions (like sitting at your desk alone, but in a classroom)





You will not spare until or unless you want to go to tournaments.


At the tournaments it again is all form, and usually no actually hitting eachother, just touches that look real, because it is the form that you are practicing. And then everyone will be wearing protective gear from their head and face to their toes. No one could tell if you are a boy or a girl.





Sometimes, you will hold a defense pad, and take turns to allow eachother to practice your strikes/punches, and kicks. It won%26#039;t hurt because of the pads. This is good because you can learn from eachtother.





I%26#039;ve been in Karate a long time, even if you feel a little uncomfortable, get over it, because after going a few weeks everyone will become friendly with you, and you will learn how to properly defend yourself, and gain confindence in doing so.|||eeewwww cooties.....





your going to have to get over it! There are more boys then girls in my karate class and I imagine its similar elsewhere. Hey if you don%26#039;t have a boyfriend...... But seriously just be mature and its really no big deal. I have trained with boys,girls,men,women you get used to it. But don%26#039;t take ****. I am not really sure what your practicing that makes you uncomfortable....





but please grow up!|||There is a chance that a girl will be practicing with a boy.





However, in competition whether it be at a tournament or some other area, there will usually be split up divisions of male and female, along with other subdivisions.|||Remember that if a girl gets attacked, most likely it will be by a boy. It%26#039;s a good thing to start practicing on them now!





That%26#039;s why I got my little girl into karate - little boys! :-)|||no. the place i went to divided people up by age and by gender for the most part.





the class i was at had just males and most of us were beginners and we sucked. I quit after the first day though, because i didn%26#039;t like it.|||That all depends on the situation, the instructor will most likely or should pair up people with their own geneder.





Rob B, most times when women are involved in a physical dispute, it will be between two women.|||That depends on the school and how many male and females are enrolled in your class.





It will not be as bad as you think.|||In most cases, yes they do.
