Depends on your progress and the rules at your school, you may jump belts if you train really hard (e.g white to green instead of yellow)|||The cheapest I%26#039;ve ever seen is $50 a month. The most expensive was $130 a month. Most places around here are in the $75 to $90 range, plus many charge extra for tests and other hidden fees.
It doesn%26#039;t take long to earn your first belt - maybe a month or two if you go regularly. Most places want to give you that first belt quickly so you will be motivated to keep coming (and paying) for lessons (belts are the best marketing gimmick ever invented for martial arts!).
BTW, Flip must mean $50 - $75.|||Varies from style to style, but in northern California at a local community center it is $50/month for three classes a week. It is generally six months for white to yellow. Other locations I%26#039;ve seen have been over $100/month and only three months to yellow.|||Here in Las Vegas it is around $500-750 a month. I was in karate for 2 years and went from white to green belt, thats 4 advances. You can move kind of quick if you learn the katas for each belt.|||thats too genral of a question!.. where i go its 7$ per class, and from blet to belt it all depends on the person|||well my karate is around $30 a month and i was a yellow belt in a couple of weeks.
