Looking for dojo or sensai to teach me karate and the way of the samurai sword?

I am looking for a dojo or a sensai, in north east alabama preferably near huntsville, that teaches karate and/or the way of the samurai sword.|||Did you try a yahoo search or phone book?|||I am in Hazel Green and I have a small class at my church. The only charge for the classes is that you workout and practice what has been taught. I cannot make you good. Only you can do that.

Semper Fi|||First, check your local yellow pages for Martial Arts Instruction or Karate Instruction. Sword dojos will use the word Iaijitsu or Iaido. Second, check with the Chamber of Commerce. Once you have a list from these two sources you can begin the interview process.|||For Karate do a search on the net and compare credentials and length of studies.

For The Way Of The Samurai, before taking it up, do a search within... deep within! To have a good understanding of the principles pick up the book called %26quot;Haggakure%26quot;. This book will provide you with the principles. You should study this book very well. Once you have studied the principles, you can then begin to learn the techniques. Only after learning the principles, can you understand and learn the techniques.

First you attain the container, then you fill it up!

Good luck!!|||There is no weapon in Karate. By the way, karate mean empty hand.|||Sir, there is a Howard Upton around that area that is very great karate ka, and knows his weapons as well. If you desire further information I will supply. There are not many dojos, that combine both aspect of the arts, though they do go hand in hand.

God Bless
