You don%26#039;t have to kill your oponents either when you practice Karate and neither of you have ill intentions so its ok. Its like asking if ping pong or hockey, or footbal is a sin - they%26#039;re not.
Don%26#039;t worry, its a very valuble skill to have you never know when you might have to use it - i dont mean in self defense either but for example i%26#039;m in theatre and it might be useful if i could do it for a movie or play. :)|||Personally, I don%26#039;t believe it is a sin to know deadly techniques.
Knowing and doing are so different. It is good to know how just in case you need it. It%26#039;s better to know it and not need it, than to need it and not know it...ok?
