How to get people to join karate?

Well there%26#039;s a referral program at my dojo (karate studio) and I have to get 3 people to join. Since I%26#039;m 16 alot of kids my age usually have their sport chosen so I want to target a younger aged group of kids. Does anyone have any ideas where I can pass out fliers, or ask people if they want to try it out?|||Free trial classes and/or passes, and word of mouth.

good luck!|||First, any dojo that requires you to get people to join is a BS dojo. You should do it because you love the Sensei and dojo and want to help it grow. If they are requiring you to get people I would quit since that is a big sign of a McDojo.

Next, if you truly are interested just talk to people and tell them how much you love it and how it has changed your life. Invite them and their parents along to watch or even try a class. Hand out cards with your name on them and tell them to stop in anytime and ask for you. Introduce them to your Sensei and let them learn about the dojo.|||Parents love it when grown kids loiter around public parks. Just don%26#039;t forget your binoculars.

No, in all seriousness, the best thing to do is hit up kids after school or go through family connections. Otherwise, circulate through the neighborhood.

Referral program huh? Do have to say it sounds a wee bit sketchy.|||hi shadows, get your skills just as sharp as you can so attend class a lot learn every move to your cauttas and why your hand goes in your forms and then when they see how sharp you are keep your appearance clean and well shavin and they will join on their own. was in tie kwon do mu duke qwan for about twelve years i taught the martial arts i know. so when i look at a person even now i can see their weaknesses it%26#039;s a lot of fun but to you my young friend stay in and don%26#039;t give it up for nothing. know your openent and you will have peace of body and peace of mind like me. good luck hope i was helpful to you|||Give a little demonstration during or after school at an elementary school, at a Boy Scout meeting, etc. |||do you have to find 3 people to join so you can train there?
