What are advantages of karate over other martial arts?

What can karate do that others can%26#039;t?|||this depends on the style and the karate-ka.

most karate styles, contain, strikes, locks, throws, etc. the problem is most instructors do not know what there own style contains. and just look at it as kick and punch, not realizing all the other techniques, that is in there own system.

this is the reason why it takes decades to understand one style. and a life time to master it.

some style are short range other mid or long. some do deep stance other stand upright more. it all depends on the style you do. there are too many style of karate to narrow down the advantages over other styles of martial arts|||karate is fairly rounded, and a good art to start with, but as you get higher in martial arts you can kinda pick out there weaknesses, such as, the punches karate teaches, are really over extended, and such as that, a good brawling art is muay thai, and bjj, they have the most strengths and least weaknesses|||No martial art is better than another, even in specific techniques. People keep asking this question thinking they%26#039;re going to get a different answer. There is NO best martial art. Even when specific areas.|||Karate has become a rather generic term in some respects. There are still schools that teach very traditional styles, but you%26#039;ll also find many that adopt ideas from other martial arts the instructor has been exposed to.|||you can%26#039;t really say any martial arts in the best but if it goes for self defense i%26#039;d say tae kwon-do and karate.|||In karate, you can buy your belts rather than earn them.

Otherwise, it sucks.
