Then I would want to know if you are friends with him or not? I would not suggest getting a gift for some one you do not know unless of course your Karate teacher has invited you to his sons birthday party of something like that and it just happens to be on new years day. Some one giving another person a present for no reason is a little strange unless you are already in a relationship with them.
