Well, i%26#039;m practicing karate and so far im an orange belt.I%26#039;m just curious i guess|||If all you want is get a black belt, it takes about 4-6 weeks. It could be faster if you pay more for expedited shipping.
Now, if you want to EARN a black belt, that takes a lot longer. The average I%26#039;ve heard and observed from a decent school is 5-10 years. However, I would advise you to not focus on that as a goal. Use it as just another milestone in your training.
Good luck on your journey|||it took me 6 years to get my black belt in taekwondo and not trying to brag but i am one of the best there!!
It all depends on how much you are deticated, how often you go, and so on.
i say a good black belt takes between 4-20 years to get if i were you i would train really hard, and be deticated but still wait, make sure you know everything and you feel comfortable with it!!
even if your instructor says you are ready to test ask your self do u really need to test or could you wait a while!!
I spent 1 year as a red belt because i thought i wasnt ready to go on, and i just practiced all the time. *Always review the lower belt stuf!!|||There seems to be a lot of variance in the time it takes people to get a black belt in arts like karate. I think it has to do with the fact that some instructors really go in depth and work with you to understand the techniques you%26#039;re learning while others just crank out students for the money. Regardless of how long it takes, my only advice would be to make sure you%26#039;re truly learning from those classes and not just going through the motions.|||depends on the school a go kan ryu karate gives them out in a year which is a scam. some ATA taekwondo places give theres out in 2 years which is just as bad. legit karate/taekwondo take 4-8 years to get a black belt some places even longer. Depends what the instructor thinks a black belt should be capable of.|||It does not matter it take different time for different people. Reaching black belt means only that you have learned the basic moves. The real training can begin then. Black belts are not recognized as good fighters in the orient. They are considered just beginning. There are just way to many black belts that know nothing. The skills are more important than any belt rank.
Best of luck!
EDIT: For what it%26#039;s worth. I started training in 1967. I did not reach black belt until 1975. Looking back now, I don%26#039;t think I was ready then.|||it depends on a lot of things
it took me 5 years to get mine in traditional tae kwon do
but once i hit my blue belt red stripes i went 4 nights a week for 2 hours
i was going 2 nights for 2 hours
im an instructor now been doing trad. tkd for 13 years teaching for over 5|||many which is why its a waste of time years of training and you%26#039;ll end up gettin mauled.
choose jujitsu an art with grappling and submissions
or muay thai an easy but effective martial art combines punching with clinching knees and elbows
or boxing an art where you%26#039;l learn to knock somebody out using only your hands|||hi,
